My family and I welcome you to our home in Alaior, a picturesque village in Menorca.
Spanish lessons, delicious food, beautiful hiking trails, archaeological sites and… the Mediterranean sea! We’ve got it all for you to experience one of your best holidays ever!
Swimming in the sea, going for long walks, visiting interesting arts exhibitions, enjoying live music or learning to cook a paella.
But also reading a book in our little garden or playing chess watching the sunlight turn into that orange-violet shade in the sunset hours.
“I have long dreamt of having a total immersion in a Spanish family. My stay with Santi and his family was my dream come true. From the start I felt so welcome. They made me feel totally at home. That’s a gift.
“I was included in all the family activities: meals, taking children to music lessons; watching Iván play basketball and Laura in roller skate practice.
What an experience I’ve had, made so very special by being with Santi, Gloria, Iván and Laura. I will treasure it for the rest of my life.”
Maybe you want to have more time on your own to explore the island at your own pace, or you prefer us to organise exciting activities for you. We’ll have a fun schedule ready if you are a bit unsure of what you want to do.
The most important is that you enjoy your time with us on the island. It’s your holiday!
A prehistoric site dated circa 1.400 BC.! The town developed from the start of the Talayotic era and expanded until the end of the Roman occupation.
The Cami de Cavalls is a 185 km trail that circles the entire coast of the island. The coastline changes along the way, from the orange jagged rocks in the north to the quieter green cliffs in the south.
Small bays, large harbours, beaches, rocky headlands. Along the course of the trail, there’s always something new awaiting you.
A disused quarry that’s been repurposed as a cultural and artistic space. In the summer months they organise concerts, art installations, theatre and even a film festival.
For Spaniards food represents a very important part in our lives. Our family love to cook together while having a chat and enjoying a glass of wine.
We’ll be happy to share these moments with you and teach you how to cook a paella and other delicious local dishes.
Built by the British, it was an old military hospital from the 18th century up until the 1960s.
Abandoned for many years until a group of volunteers decided to recover it and reconvert it into a historical and cultural space.
The reconstruction has been awarded with several important recognitions like the Europa Nostra’ European Heritage Award.
We hope to meet you very soon!
